Welcome to Linked Apart!

This game is a submission for the GMTK GamJam2021!

We haven't been able to accomplish all of our goals, so the game is missing some juice, sounds, a decent background, UI for in-game information, and only has one level. We are still very proud of our 1st GameJam together and it was a really fun experience. The game fits the theme (Joined Together) for a couple of reasons:
1. It's a game best played together! (two players)

2. Players need to collaborate to create energy and win the levels.

3. Sometimes they need to be apart.

4. The story behind the game is that the characters represent two close friends, collecting memory fragments of shared memories.

5. Our vision of the game was to collect the puzzle fragments and then assemble them at the end of each level (couldn't manage to get there eventually).
